Dear Piping Enthusiast,

Music transcends geographical and political boundaries, cultures and ideologies like no other medium. Bagpipes, in all their various forms, are found in just about every country in the world, either as indigenous instruments or as the result of migration of people over the ages. Pipers share a common bond through our music and here at Begg Bagpipes we are honoured to provide a global customer service – not just to the known stalwarts of the piping world like Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland and the USA but to lesser known exponents including Japan, Oman, and Kazakhstan amongst many others.

In a world full of the dreadful effects of war, terrorism, poverty, corruption and climate change, piping provides a small haven of tranquility and enjoyment which does not differentiate on the basis of colour, creed, sex, class or wealth – long may the bonds between us all continue to flourish.

At this Festive Time of the Year, all of us here at Begg Bagpipes wish you and your families every health and happiness for 2016 and beyond. We hope you have all enjoyed our newsletter and we are planning to bring you more interesting topics next year.

Yours aye,

James Begg, Gavin Begg, Lisa Begg, Bill Begg, Iain Begg,
Donald MacInnes, Gordon Cameron, Mark Smith and Malcolm Foster.
