It was a fantastic performance by our close friend Roddy MacLeod in winning the Glenfiddich Solo Piping Championship for the 4th time. Arguably THE top event for solo pipers, Roddy has again re-asserted himself as the World's greatest living piper and we are proud to be associated with him on a personal and business level - he has been a customer of Begg Bags for 31 years.
We were pleased to hear that the Stuart Highlanders from Wilmington, Massachusetts won the Piping element in Grade 2 at the World Championships (the Band was 5th overall). Their Pipe Major, Adam Holdaway, switched the band to Begg sheepskin bags and was delighted with the outcome - last year he sent us this on an email:
'Our grade 2 band is playing your sheepskin bags exclusively and just started using them this past year. Our sound is far and away the best it's ever been and I believe it has everything to do with the bag changes.'

We hope that you won't be inconvenienced too greatly but we have had to introduce a 10 pound minimum order value on the website. In terms of time, cost and efficiency, really small value orders are a disproportionate strain on the business and we trust you will understand.
